Frequently asked questions

What is a Chakra?

In the ancient eastern language of Sanskrit, the word chakra translates to "wheel." There are seven main wheels or energy centers that align through the body. Each energy center rules a different aspect of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual self. It is rather easy for these chakras to become imbalanced, causing problems and instability daily. These chakras may become under or overactive, causing an array of issues from physical ailments to emotional distress. Which aspects of yourself are out of balance? Take the chakra balance quiz and wellness quiz to find out!

What is Chakra Wellness?

I work with clients to help teach and bring awareness to their chakra system. Together, we sort through physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wounds and traumas that may be the root cause of imbalance. The seven chakras are the root chakra (Muladhara), sacral (Svadhisthana), solar plexus (Manipura), heart (Anahata), throat (Visuddha), third eye (Anja ) and the crown chakra (Sahasrara).

What is wellness?

Unlike health, which only focuses the physical and mental aspects of the self and its current condition, wellness analyzes the eight different dimensions of the self spread among the different aspects of life. The eight different aspects of wellness are physical, social, emotional, occupational, intellectual/mental, environmental, financial and spiritual wellness. Using a wellness model rather than a health model helps individuals to better understand themselves and ares of their life that they may be proficient or lacking.  Similar to the chakra system, the wellness wheel model encourages individuals to find balance among all areas of their life so they can become the happiest, healthiest and greatest version of themself.

How do I blend health, wellness, and spirituality?

By integrating the chakra system and the wellness wheel model, clients are able to understand and recognize the different aspects of the self and use the appropriate physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual tools taught to restore balance and stability in their lives. I offer various methods such as movement, yoga asanas, dietary adjustments, affirmations, vibrational frequencies, and more. Achieving balance entails adopting wellness concepts, cultivating supportive mindsets and behaviors, and releasing limiting beliefs.

Results vary depending on individual factors such as health status, fitness level, consistency, and discipline. Achieving wellness is an ongoing journey unique to each person.

Yes, virtual training is an option. However, I recommend at least one in-person session per week for optimal support and form correction. This ensures you have access to guidance and support, especially when learning new exercises.
